03:52 pm - Australian Footbag Monthly footbag zine
Hello All

It's been a long time since there's been a post in here! I'm just letting everyone know I'm about to start work on "Australian Footbag Monthly" which will be...wait for it....a DIY, monthly, Australian footbag zine. What will most likely happen is I will scan it in and host each issue at www.ausfootbag.org

The frist issue will be out later this month and have an overview of the recent Narooma Footbag Camp, an Australian Nationals preview and a Dan Ednie tour diary from his recent world trip. I also run another zine called Capital Eyes, which I just put the first issue out last month, it's about metal and hardcore and stuff.

If anyone is interested in writing any articles, or being interviewed, or doing any interviews, let me know...my email is daniel dot boyle at gmail dot com

Hooray! I just finished my first bag with a new pattern I got from Lan Irish! Oh, joy.

So, what's your favorite footbag filling? By the way, who here plans on going to world's?

Has anyone ever heard of footbag/hackysack makers putting iron bits in the hacks? I stumbled upon this, and wondered what its like. If you have any experience, please share.

hey everyone
over the weekend i finally learned how to do mirages and like mirage stalls i guess they would be called...

but i was wondering; to me it looks awkward when im doing the dexterity part of the move, is it just cause im seeing it from a weird point of view cause im actually doing it or do i just have no style?

people have told me it looks good but i was just wondering if it looks weird to everybody while they are doing the move.

hey everyone.  i just joined this community.

i started playing footbag like 2 years ago off and on.  i usually just play in the summer.  but since its like summer now im pretty into it i'd say.

im not amazing but i'm one of the best 2 guys at my school.  i can do like around the world, around the world stalls,
opposite leg around the worlds (like a mirage but hit it with the leg that does the dexterity, not hte original stall leg, what is that called?)

the other day i did something thats pretty simple but i thought it was tight.   with my right leg i did toe stall -> inside stall --> toe stall -->  around the world to an inside stall.

hopefully i explained that correctly.  in any case it was tight and i hope to duplicate it soon.

sorry this post is like long but im bored and its dark so i can't go hack :(

ok peace everyone happy hacking

So this dude, Jose Cocolan Jr., moved here like a year and a half ago. There was a brief correspondence among him, Chris and me, but he didn't have a ride into the city so we just kind of forgot about him. Laughing

And now Chris is gone and Kyle is way busy. So a couple weeks ago he emailed me out of the blue and asked me to come play. So I obliged, and wow, this guy is really good. I have an ill new shred partner (& likewise for him I assume).

Anyway we kicked again today at the big Cinco de Mayo festival downtown, and we got a few clips here. Keep in mind that a)we had already been kicking a long time in the sun - mad tired, and b)for me, anyway, I haven't been kicking at all because my hip is retarded.

Mad props to the other guy Matt Something who was cool with just sitting and filming us dancing around in short shorts.

I look forward to illing with him a lot more in the future. He's super good, and really positive; I think our styles compliment each other well.

Enjoy. Hit me up dirty girlz.

Anybody have patterns or preferred methods of bag making? I want to make my own sack but I want to know what I'm doing at the same time, so any tips will be great!

Anyone going? I will try, just need to figure out a ride. Props to Matt for getting this together. It's sad Chilly Philly was canceled but it's great to stay positive and this event is just what we need.
